Early Childhood

We believe that each child is unique, and has unbounded potential, and a natural desire to learn. Our Early Childhood programming focuses on building empowered learners from the earliest stages of educational development, teaching even the youngest of students to express their innate qualities of self-awareness, empathy, resilience, courage, social responsibility, and resourcefulness.

I Glow© SEL Curriculum

(2-5 years - 30 min 2x per week)

I Glow© empowers children with a positive sense of self and internal safety, as well as the strategies needed to skillfully navigate their thoughts and emotions so that they are better able to prepare for, recover from and adapt in the face of adversities.

It is grounded in CASEL’s five core SEL competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Teachers receive weekly coaching throughout the school year on effective implementation methods.

Offered in English & Spanish

First Steps Into Elementary School

(32-weeks for rising Kindergarteners to support the transition into Elementary School)

Through play, verbal and artistic sharing, and reflective practices, this curriculum supports Kindergarten students in developing self-awareness and meaningful interpersonal connections. Students acknowledge the depth and range of changes that are taking place and have opportunities to build trust in themselves and in each other. A strong parent component strengthens families and guides parents to empower and honor their children during this transition.

Newcomers Transition Curriculum

(All ages)

Serves students who are recent immigrants, a population at especially high risk for alienation from school, school failure, and self-destructive behaviors. This curriculum offers students the opportunity to honor the people, lands, cultures, and personal identities they have left behind; reclaim and integrate aspects of their past; and become empowered to move with strength and confidence as they transition into a new school, culture, and country.
