and we arehighly in sync – physically, mentally and emotionally. This in turn,
facilitates the higher cognitive processes critical for focusing attention, reasoning and
creativity, all of which are essential for effective learning, academic achievement and social success."
The Institute of Heart Math.

We focus on building:

  • Self-management – the ability to control your emotions and behavior and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Social awareness – the ability to sense, understand and react to the emotions of others and feel comfortable socially.
  • Relationship management – the ability to inspire, influence and connect to others while managing conflict.
  • Responsibility - creating, implementing and gauging informed solutions to problems.

Is the ability to effectively understand and manage one’s emotions as well as those of others, which helps with relating well to people and thinking beyond the circumstances we face at a given moment.

Research shows, that students who appraise themselves and their abilities realistically (self-awareness), regulate their feelings and behaviors appropriately (self-management), interpret social cues accurately (social awareness), resolve interpersonal conflicts effectively (relationship skills), and make good decisions about daily challenges (responsible decision making) are headed on a pathway toward success in school and later life.(Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, 2005; Zins et al., 2004).add text.
