Glowmundo founder Candice Bataille Popiel with her daughters
Glowmundo is a Colorado-based nonprofit founded by Candice Bataille Popiel. A native of Venezuela, Candice grew up in the inner city of Caracas. She believes her life would have taken an unhappy turn if it had not have been for the exposure she had to the arts and local volunteer organizations that support the social-emotional development of inner city youth. Throughout her studies and work back in Venezuela and over 40 countries around the world working with youth, she realized how professional and personal success and well being in teens and adults was highly influenced by what they thought of themselves and of the world around them. Candice realized that the beliefs that are instilled during childhood through accumulated experiences influence children and the kind of adults they would become.
She created Glowmundo, as a resource to assist in fostering the development of inner strength and resiliency in inner city children and those who care for them, so they can live more fulfilling and healthier lives, and ideally break the cycles in which they were born in.
Candice is available for public speaking on how to build self-awareness, mind-body awareness, mindfulness, stress-coping strategies and personal leadership for children, youth, parents, and professionals working with children.

A personal message from Candice . . .
"I am very grateful you stopped by! To me, Glowmundo is a tool conceived and designed to assist inner city children, to use and develop their inner resources to walk through life. Having grown in the inner city myself, made me become aware of the value of expanding my inner life, in order to deal with the daily aggressions and challenges of that environment. Furthermore, it made me want to find a way to get out of it. Even though this is not a new concept, it is one that we have forgotten about and that is imperative in stopping the poverty cycle, not only in terms of physical and material needs, but at the mental and emotional level. If you are so called to it, please join me in assisting these children in seeing beyond, in going within to deal with challenges, in understanding the power of their mind, in connecting with their heart, in listening to their bodies and to that inner voice, in finding that heart space for calmness, in seeing themselves reflected in others. It is possible." Glowfully yours, Candice
