GLOW FOR PARENTS

It is our goal to give parents and caregivers the ability to deal with stress in a more effective way so they can focus on nurturing and embracing their children in their journey of growth and development.

Interactive workshops are delivered to parents to equip them with information and tools to support their child’s healthy social-emotional development at home.  Workshops offer techniques to help parents manage the stress in their own lives and create a more harmonious and manageable home environment (“A GLOWING HOME”) ultimately connecting with the joy of parenting.

Length of Program: 4 1/2 HOURS. Could be split in 3 one hour and half sessions.

Format: school day, afterschool, evenings.

Class Size: Maximum 40 participants

GLOW FOR TEACHERS/STAFF

Experiential trainings, offered in three two hour sessions give teachers and staff information and tools to assist them in creating a school environment (“ROOM TO GLOW”) where students are engaged, focused, ready and excited to learn.  Teachers also acquire ideas and tools for managing their own stress levels and strengthening their practice and presence in the classroom.  It is our goal to assist teachers to remember and feel the joy of their work. 

Length of Program: 6 hours

Format:  We suggest incorporating these trainings during teacher professional development days.

Additional info:  Teachers receive a workbook for each session.  The program is offered in English or Spanish.   We offer classroom follow up visits with Glowmundo staff to help teachers integrate these skills more effectively in the classroom.  See more details on our teacher consultation flyer. We collect teacher feedback on training and its implementation to continue to improve our program.  In addition to the I Glow program six hour training for teachers, we offer additional seminars outside of the regular school day.

All sessions are facilitated by our trained Glowmundo facilitators. Our facilitators participate in an initial eight-hour training session and receive ongoing coaching throughout the year.
